What is real fruit syrup?
Real fruit syrup is made from actual fruit (fruit juice and puree) rather than artificial flavoring. Umma’s Recipe syrups are crafted with real fruit, with no artificial flavors and no artificial colors.
What is Korean cheong, and is your syrup cheong?
Cheong (청) is the traditional Korean way of turning fruit into a syrup: fruit and sugar left to mellow together, then stirred into water, tea, or sparkling drinks. Maesil-cheong (green plum) is one of the best-known kinds. Umma’s Recipe brings that Korean fruit syrup tradition to cafés: cheong-style syrups made in Korea with real fruit and no artificial flavors or colors, in strawberry, blueberry, mango, peach, passion fruit, lemon, and grapefruit.
Do your syrups contain artificial flavors or colors?
No. Umma’s Recipe syrups contain no artificial flavors and no artificial colors. The taste and color come from real fruit.

Yes. Our syrups are made for beverage professionals: cafés, coffee shops, bakeries, bars, bubble tea shops, and restaurants. They are café-tested and used by franchise operators.
Are they good for smoothies and bubble tea (boba)?
Absolutely. Umma’s Recipe syrups work beautifully in smoothies, bubble tea (boba), ades, lemonades, sodas, and iced teas.
Can I use them in cocktails and mocktails?
Yes. The real-fruit flavor makes them a great fit for bar programs: cocktails and mocktails alike.
How should I store the syrup, and how long does it last?
Store unopened pouches in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and refrigerate after opening. Recent lots have about 18 months of shelf life from the date they arrive at our New Jersey warehouse, and the best-by date is printed on every pouch.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes. Umma’s Recipe is wholesale-only for beverage and foodservice businesses. Create a free wholesale account to see pricing and order online right away. For pallet or recurring large orders, send us your estimated annual volume and details through the site’s message form and we’ll get back to you right away.
Is there a minimum order?
No. There is no minimum order. Online orders are by the 2kg pouch, so you can order a single pouch if that is all you need. Free shipping does have a minimum, and it depends on how far the delivery is from our New Jersey warehouse; the exact amount for your address is shown in your cart.
How do I start ordering?
Create a wholesale account on the site and you can order straight away. There is no approval wait. Wholesale pricing is shown once you are signed in.
How long does an order take to ship?
Orders ship every Tuesday and Thursday from Belleville, New Jersey, then travel by UPS. Delivery takes about 3 to 5 business days after shipping.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. Umma’s Recipe ships anywhere in the United States from Belleville, New Jersey. Shipping is priced by distance, and reaching the free-shipping minimum for your region removes it entirely.
Can I try the syrups before I order?
Yes. Request a free sample from the home page: choose up to four flavors, and the syrup is free. You cover only the postage to your address. You will need a wholesale account with a shipping address so we know where to send it.
